Rating the airports I have been to

As a digital nomad and frequent traveller, I have been to countless of airports in almost all continents. Something I found myself doing quite often is looking up the airports I am about to depart from or have a long layover to understand how long before my flight I should arrive or if there are restaurants or hotels for the layovers. Thus, I decided to start writing my experiences at airports starting this year. These are notes for myself to remember and to share with friends travelling. If you find it helpful, good for you!

Paris-Charles de Gaulle

Intro: reason why here

How to get there: RER B line. Get of at Le Bourget. There will be a bus that will get you to Terminal 2. It’s very clear. A lot of people working to guide you towards the right bus. I had the 2-days pass which included the airport fare. If you do not have that, you can get your ticket for 13€.

Terminal: 2C
Departure time: 7:35 PM
Arrival at airport: 3:35 PM
Airline: Air India
Did they weight the carry-on?: Yes, removed a few things and let me pass. I put them back on right after. Keep in mind that I had a checked luggage included in my ticket. Might be less flexible if you don’t have more weight allowance.
How long to pass security:

Security:
Is it easy to find police/security agents around and get help easily?
Do I feel safe?

Where to find water: Found a fountain near the bathroom after security and Duty-Free.

Food options:

Shopping: Lots of luxury brands such as YSL, BVLGARI, Dior, Chanel.

Thai Viet Jet

Booked a flight with them from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. First it was delayed for one hour 20 minutes. We then got onto the bus waited for 10 minutes super packed together only for them to tell us to get off and that the plane was late for one more hour. At this point I have not slept for more than 24 hours and I’m really losing it. I am so exhausted. They apologize for the first delay, which I thought OK fair not that bad. But the flight was supposed to take up at 2:30 and it’s now 4:30… they handed us food in a box which look like a very tried disgusting sandwich, water and a snack.

One thing nice about them is that they did not wait my carry-on. They did mention that the airplane is small so there won’t be enough place for everyone and they took some volunteers to put their luggage in the baggage thing, but I refused I just want my carry-on on me.
